Sarah W. Matzen Pivots into Swivel Media; Former Momentum Media Senior Account Exec Joins San Francisco's Fast Expanding Experience Marketing Agency
San Francisco -

SAN FRANCISCO  --  Sarah W. Matzen has been named VP Account Director for San Francisco-based Swivel Media. In making the announcement, Swivel founder and Creative Director Erik Hauser said, "Sarah's a dynamo.

She brings exactly the right level of high energy marketing and promotion savvy that we at Swivel pride ourselves on providing clients. From her work with American Express to managing an entire network of field reps for various brands, she's consistently distinguished herself as a leader in devising and executing innovative and engaging marketing programs."

Matzen assumes the VP Account Director slot at Swivel after having served as Senior Account Executive for Momentum Worldwide since mid-2003. Prior to that position, she was a Momentum account executive for two years.

In her new position, Matzen will take the lead in overseeing the campaigns for some of Swivel's marquee clients including Wells Fargo and Careerbuilder.com. Sarah will also help with the accelerated growth of the agency.

"Swivel Media is just about as exciting an up-and-coming agency as you'll find anywhere in the country," said Matzen. "Their dedication to developing marketing strategies that deliver the right message via the right medium to the right audience at the right time, combined with creative experience marketing programs that draw customers into a brand emotionally and intellectually, is leading the way for market-smart brand-builders. I'm thrilled to be joining that kind of a team."

While as a senior account executive at Momentum, Matzen developed regional campaigns on behalf of American Express for its ExpressPay product launch, as well as campaigns for Macy's Passport, Sting Live@the Blue 5, and Blue Jam Sessions. She joined Momentum's Washington, D.C. office as a project coordinator in 2001, having worked previously as an account manager for the American Red Cross and legal account rep for DC's Balmar Printing and Graphics, where she boosted sales from $117,000 to $450,000 her first year, and to $850,000 in her second.
